A little about me...

My passion and love for Reflexology began when I was pregnant with my eldest boy, I fell in love with the therapy instantly! It gave me great relief from common aches and pains linked with pregnancy particularly sciatica. I firmly believe that it gave me the space and time I needed to prepare my body and mind for a successful delivery of my beautiful boy. I just couldn’t get enough of it and actually I still can’t! Since that point Reflexology has been a huge part of my life and when I got the opportunity to complete my training I couldn’t wait to get started so I could share the incredible healing powers of the therapy and bring balance and calm to others. I have been running for nearly 5 years now and gradually I have added more holistic therapies to my skill set, all incredible and of course all compliment Reflexology perfectly.

In this busy world it is so important to take some time for yourself, and Reflexology is the perfect way to allow your body to deeply relax, rebalance and restore the natural equilibrium, as well as calm your mind and soothe your soul. Of course, if feet are not your favourite I also have options for Hand or Face Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Menopause Massage & Holistic Facials.

You will be warmly welcomed into my home where I have created a safe, warm, comfortable and peaceful sanctuary where you can fully switch off from the day to day stresses that commonly surround us these days. My wish is to support you as a whole, to lift your spirits and restore balance and harmony both physically, emotionally and mentally, especially during times of transition such as maternity, motherhood & menopause.

Frequently asked questions...

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone is different and the response to Reflexology can be immediate or sometimes take longer than one appointment, but often benefits can be seen after 4-5 sessions. Regular weekly treatments are best for the body properly beginning the self-healing process, and following an initial consultation I will suggest the number of Reflexology sessions I think we should undertake.

Massage will also be different for each individual. We will discuss your specific needs carefully and reach a treatment that is right for you.

What happens in a treatment?

Reflexology is performed either on the feet, face or hands, so the most you’ll have to do is take off your socks and roll up your trousers or remove your t-shirt to your underwear! During the treatment you will be made comfortable on the warm, relaxing couch supported by pillows and snuggled under a cosy blanket. The treatment will commence with a cleanse and then a pre-blended oil of your choice will be gently applied to the area. Gentle pressure will then be applied to each of the different reflex points on the feet, face or hands using a range of reflexology and massage techniques. Many clients find the treatment deeply relaxing and achieve a meditative-like state.

Does reflexology hurt?

You may find some areas feel more sensitive than others when touched, but Reflexology does not involve firm pressure like a sports massage might. As a therapist I will use our initial health & lifestyle consultation to assess your specific needs and your feet will often reveal to me which areas of your body require a bit more care and attention. If you do feel anything uncomfortable it is important that you tell me during or after your treatment as this may reveal more information to me.

And don’t worry - reflexology doesn't tickle! Many clients come to me with ticklish feet or worried about their feet being touched, but find they can relax and enjoy the benefits of Reflexology.

Can you diagnose my health problems?

Reflexologists cannot claim to diagnose or cure, but during a treatment we get 'feedback' as to which parts of the body are working well and which are not. Sometimes Reflexology will highlight a specific area which is struggling or working hard to maintain your wellbeing; if a particular reflex point shows this kind of reaction I'll discuss it with you at the end of the session if you wish to know.

What are your fees & availability?

Reflexology sessions for individuals last 50 minutes and cost £50 per session. I do offer block bookings which provide a slight saving on each treatment. I accept payment in cash or by bank transfer in advance of your booking.

Massage sessions start from £35 for 30 minutes depending on the type and areas of the body included. Block bookings are also available.

Note that if you do need to cancel an appointment I respectfully ask for 48 hours’ notice; so that I can try and fill the appointment. Unfortunately, any appointments cancelled within the 48hr period will not be entitled to a refund.

Can I keep on having reflexology?

After an initial course of treatment many people choose to visit on a monthly basis to help maintain their general wellbeing, or as a scheduled 'de-stress'. Other clients will get back in touch if they start feeling aches and pains, arranging treatments as and when they need them. The choice is yours!

What happens during a Face Reflexology treatment?

At the beginning of the appointment I complete a health and lifestyle consultation with you, this allows me to check for any contra-indications and tailor the treatment to your needs. After the consultation, you will be made comfortable on the warm, relaxing couch, snuggled under the cosy blanket, and I will begin to cleanse the face and apply a pre-blended organic facial oil to the face and neck. Once the oil is applied, I will apply a gentle pressure on the different reflex points on the face, and also use a range of massage techniques. Following this I will use specific acupressure techniques tailored to your needs and complete the treatment with a rejuvenating Gua Sha Massage. Many clients find the treatment deeply relaxing and achieve a meditative-like state.

What Products will be used during my treatments?

All of the oils, balms, cleansers and products used enhance the experience of the treatment, nourish the skin and have a soothing fragrance. I only use natural and organic products for my treatments from Tropic and Flying Wild, as these products support my ethos of not only taking care of my clients, but also the beautiful world we live in.

Can I buy the products used within my treatments?

Of course, I only use the very best quality products so if you are interested in trying the products for yourself at home to continue your facial self-care, please visit my Tropic shop or Flying Wild.

What should I wear for my Reflexology treatment?

I recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothes for Reflexology so that you will feel at ease and able to relax. A short sleeved top would be beneficial for Hand Reflexology as the massage part extends up the arm.

Do I remain fully clothed during Reflexology?

For Foot Reflexology all you will need to do is remove your shoes, socks and roll trousers up to the knee; a blanket is offered for your modesty and of course to keep you warm and cosy enabling you to drift off into your own world of tranquility. For Hand Reflexology you will only need to remove clothing if it is covering your arms. During Face Reflexology I do need to be able to access your neck and shoulders so I usually ask you to remove any clothing in this area.

What information will you require from me?

A full medical history and health and lifestyle profile will be taken and you will be asked to sign a consent form agreeing to the treatment. All information will be kept confidentially.

I’m pregnant, can I have Reflexology?

Huge congratulations! Yes you can! Reflexology (which will be adapted to your needs) aims to enhance your physical and emotional health. A detailed history will be taken to ensure that it is safe and appropriate to carry out a treatment. Please refer to the Maternity section for more detailed information.

How will I feel during a treatment?

On the whole my clients find Reflexology incredibly relaxing, there may be some fleeting discomfort or sensitivity felt which may indicate some imbalances in your body. We will discuss (if you wish) how you found it and what I felt at the end of your treatment.

How will I feel afterwards?

After a couple of treatments most people feel an improved sense of wellbeing, deep relaxation and many report to experience improved sleep. Sometimes people experience a mild headache, increased thirst, tiredness and increased urination however please rest assured these effects are to be expected as your body restores balance, they are temporary and should pass in 24-48 hours. Please visit the Reflexology section for more detailed information.
